Happy (be-lated) Halloween guys!!!
I had a wonderful time! We held a party at our house and watched Little Shop of Horrors, then the orginal documentary of Ghost Adventures. But first we played our favorite game - Smarty Pants. Oh wait, I think it's really called Smarty Party, but we call it Smarty Pants, it's a pretty fun trivia game. So, if you're into that, check it out!
It was a pretty uneventful night, but was nice to just relax and hang out with friends. There hasn't been a lot of that lately and it makes me sad. I'm kind of a reclusive person when it comes right down to it and I enjoy having a small group of friends that do stuff together, but no one else feels that way. They're all very social..I feel kind of left out a lot...BUT enough about that! I'm supposed to be talking about Halloween here!
We had the party on Saturday, since that was the only day that none of us worked or had school. Then on Sunday (the day I was most looking forward to!), the GAC crew and Babe and I went to an abandoned sugar factory about 15 minutes out of town. The scenery was PERFECT!! Ugh, I can't imagine a better setting for taking scary/ghostie pictures. It was a beautiful sunny day as well, which was a stroke of luck - the weather is progressively getting worse up here and I'm surprised it hasn't snowed yet. The boys decided to make a mock Ghost Adventures episode, so they filmed and ran around and screamed, while Babe and I lurked. It was quite a lot of fun!
When it came time to actually take pictures of Babe and I...it just didn't pan out so well. Haha! She was totally givin' it and loving the camera, where as I...didn't want anything to do with it. I'm realizing I struggle taking pictures with groups of people. Nearly the same thing happened last year during our Zombie Princess shoot. I don't quite understand how to collaberate when it comes to photoshoots yet. I start feeling guilty because there are so many other people involved, I don't want to horde camera time. So, I'm not happy with myself in most of our pictures - I practically just stand there and it's sad.
I'm hoping that N8 and I can go back there sometime this week to take more photos. I think I'll be satisfied if I at least get some good single pictures. I hope that doesn't make me sound to selfish. =^^= Oh and, we ran out of time to go to this waterfall that I found, so we'll probably make a stop there as well. Anyway, enough about my poor attitude.
I'm working hard on new cosplays for next year! I'm excited to actually get a head start on them so I won't be rushing at the last minute. And I think I need to find a way to save up enough money to go to Phoxnix Comic Con. It's much closer than SDCC (it would only be a 10 hour drive intead of 15!), and seems like such a fun event! Probably not this coming year, but maybe the next one. =^^=
I have to many costumes and not enough places to wear them, such a bummer!
Super Alice is being re-made with a new design! I hope you guys like it as much as I do. =^^= Bayonetta is coming along nicely - MJtrends had a sale on stretch PVC so I snagged my fabric!! (To be honest, I'm mostly waiting to be in the shape I need to be before I full force make Bayo..).
My steampunk Harley Quinn is in the early stages. I'm really struggling to find the fabric I need...red stripes. Ugh. I'm so excited to be
's Harley! She'll be my Ivy.
We doing our costumes based on the art by
. If you haven't looked at her stuff, please go do it now!! Her style is so gorgeous and she does the cutest lolitas ever.
And my last costume is a surprise! It's also a collab with
. Haha, we really hit it off at SDCC last year, can you tell??
So, I guess thats everything, sorry for the long journal! Haha! You're awesome if you made it all the way through! Thanks again, so much, for all the support I have gotten over the years, I love you guys so much!
